About Perry Schack’s life The guitarist Perry Schack comes from Munich and is a well-known solo and chamber musician, who performs a yearly total of 70 concerts around the world. In 2007, he had his debut at the Carnegie Hall, after which he was awarded the “IBLA Grand Prize New York”.

 

In addition to this, he has been awarded further national and international awards, such as the “Kulturförderpreis München”, Boston International Guitar Competition (USA), the Chamber Music Competition Pittsburgh and the international solo and chamber music competition, Città di Barletta (Italy). He was also awarded funding by the Yehudi Menuhin Association, “Live Music Now”. As an Erasmus scholar he had the opportunity to perfect his artistic skills at the Escola Superior in Barcelona.

As a student, Perry Schack attended the Academy for Music and Theatre in Munich (Hochschule für Musik und Theater) and the Mozart University in Salzburg. There he was taught by renowned virtuosi, such as Franz Halasz and Eliot Fisk, and he completed his concert diploma and the masterclass “Summa cum Laude”.

 

Perry Schack enchants audiences with his concerts, which take place in the greatest cities and concert halls around the world. He has played at the Carnegie Hall in New York (in 2007 and 2017), at the “Wellington Town Hall” in New Zealand (in 2009), at the “Teatro Claudio Santoro” in Brazil (in 2013), at the Athens Concert Hall “Megaron” in Greece (in 2015), at the “Heaundae Cultural Center” in Korea (in 2017) and every year at the Residenz Palace in Munich (between 2003 – 2018).

 

He regularly travels on tours across all continents. He has already given concerts in large American and Canadian cities, such as New York, Chicago, Washington D.C., Los Angeles and Ottawa, as well as in Australia and New Zealand, specifically Canberra, Sydney, Perth, Hobart and Wellington. He has made appearances in South America, for example in Lima, Brasilia and Curitiba, as well as in the major Asian cities such as Tokyo, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Yangon. Last year he was invited to Kuwait City in the Middle East and to Addis Ababa in Ethiopia. Perry Schack has also given concerts in many European capitals, such as Warsaw, Budapest, Vienna, Rome, Paris, Athens, Dublin and Berlin.

 

As a soloist, Perry Schack has played with the AOC Orchestra of Myanmar, as well as with the Athens State Orchestra. Perry Schack’s music is regularly played on the most listened-to radio stations, such as Bayern Radio and Südwestrundfunk. He has also been invited to internationally acclaimed festivals, such as the Black Forest Music Festival (Schwarzwaldmusikfestival), the International Guitar.
